ABOUT LJUNGSKILE

Ljungskile is a small community on the west coast of Sweden with only a little over 4,000 inhabitants but with strong spiritual roots. It was here that the charismatic summer conferences with Harry Greenwood were held in the early 1980's under the name Familjefesten (The Family Feast). The conferences attracted visitors from all over Sweden and Scandinavia year after year and were a center for the charismatic renewal. It was held at Ljungskile Folkhögskola with roots back to the folk revivals of the 19th century.

At Restenäs just outside Ljungskile, UMU (Youth with a Mission) has its large base in Sweden, where many young people over the years have gone through both discipleship training schools and evangelism schools for missions in Sweden and beyond the world. The last thing that Youth with a Mission founder Loren Cunningham said on his deathbed to his closest colleague was: “Don’t forget Sweden and don’t forget Restenäs!” We believe that this school will have a great task in the kingdom of God in the future.

Just a few kilometers from Restenäs is Åh Stiftsgård , which for decades has been a strong center for spiritual renewal within the Church of Sweden, where many have had strong spiritual experiences . It is at this well-known conference site that we will once again hold our Nordic Prayer Conference January 3-5, 2027!

It is written of Isaac that he dug up again the water wells that had been dug in the time of his father Abraham but that the Philistines had filled in. We believe that God will let the old spiritual springs in the Ljungskile area spring up again with new life.

A remarkable prophecy

Towards the end of the 1980s, a young, unknown evangelist came to the Pentecostal congregation in Ljungskile with a very strange prophetic message from the Lord. The Lord said: “I will send a revival that will mean that Ljungskile will not only be known for its talented football team but because I will do wonders and signs in this place. What I do will then spread like ripples on the water without any end.”

The prophecy seemed very strange at the time because Ljungskile was not known for any good football team at that time. But shortly after the prophecy, the football team suddenly started climbing the tables year after year, from division 5 all the way up to Allsvenskan! A completely unique achievement for a football team from such a small town. We therefore also expect the fulfillment of the latter part of the prophecy about revival with signs and wonders that will affect far beyond the country's borders.

We thank God for what He has done in our previous Nordic Prayer Conferences in Ljungskile in 2025 and in 2026 when God met with us in a mighty way. Now we look forward with great anticipation to what God will do at the next Nordic Prayer Conference in Ljungskile on January 3-5, 2027. Our vision is to prepare the way for the Lord through a revival from the Nordic countries through all of Europe back to Jerusalem.

"Go through, go through the gates; prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway; clear it of stones; lift up a signal over the peoples. Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth: Say to the daughter of Zion, 'Behold, your salvation comes; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.' And they shall be called The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord; and you shall be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken."" Isa 62:10-12
